ABE/GED
ABE (Adult Basic Education) and GED (General Educational Development) classes prepare you to take the GED exam. These classes are offered at various Valley locations. The classes are open to Valley residents, aged 16 years and older, who are officially withdrawn from school.
ALL STUDENTS ARE ACCEPTED ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS. CLASS SIZE IS LIMITED.
GED Exam Eligibility: Applicants must be at least 17 years of age or older and no longer enrolled in school. Students who are 17 and 18 years old must submit documentation stating that: a) they have been officially withdrawn from school for six months or more prior to registering for the GED, or b) the class they entered (or would have entered) in 9th grade has already graduated.

- This program is for students (age 16 and older), officially withdrawn from school.
- If you are sixteen or seventeen years of age you must also provide a copy of your withdrawal letter signed by your parent/guardian from the last day school you attended.
- New students must take an assessment.
