ABE/GED
ABE (Adult Basic Education) and GED (General Educational Development) classes prepare you to take the GED exam. These classes are offered at all VRAE locations. The classes are open to students, aged 16 years and older, who are officially withdrawn from school.
GED Exam Eligibility: Applicants must be at least 17 years of age or older and no longer enrolled in school. Students who are 17 and 18 years old must submit documentation stating that: a) they have been officially withdrawn from school for six months or more prior to registering for the GED, or b) the class they entered (or would have entered) in 9th grade has already graduated.

| New Student Information |
- This program is for students (age 16 and older), officially withdrawn from school.
- If they are sixteen or seventeen years of age they must also provide a copy of their withdrawal letter signed by their parent/guardian from the last day school they attended.
- New students must take an assessment.
